Recruiting

Prospective Recruit,

Thanks for filling out a recruiting form for Chapman Lacrosse.  As you know, we have a very successful lacrosse program and in order to stay at the top of the SLC and the MCLA we recruit diligently and make sure our prospective student-athletes are not only great lacrosse players, but responsible students and individuals.  

We ask that all prospective recruits send a highlight video and/or gametape as well as a recommendation from a current h.s. or club coach.  All prospective recruits should contact Coach Hartley to start the process at dhartley@chapman.edu.  We will do our best to see you play at recruiting and team events.

It is important that any student-athlete who wants to attend Chapman and play lacrosse for the team visits the campus and meets the coaches and team.  The university and our lacrosse program should be perfect fit for you academically, socially, and athletically if you ultimately choose to join the Chapman family.

We only carry 40-45 players on the team and go through a team selection process with returning players, transfers, recruits, and walk-ons each year as we want to make the team as competitive as possible.

Our goal is to be very honest with prospective recruits about their skills and how we think they would fit in with our team.  If there is interest from both sides, the player applies to the University and the coaching staff tracks the status of the application with our Admissions advisors.  Once an application is approved is made it is up to the player to make their decision!
