Chapman  is a private university located in historic Orange, CA.  The city of Orange is located in Orange County 15 miles east of Newport Beach situated in between San Diego and Los Angeles. The team carries 45 players that hail from multiple states including California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, New Jersey, Massachussetts, Ohio, Minnesota, Rhode Island, and Florida.

The Chapman Lacrosse program was started in 1985 under the leadership of current Vice Chancellor of Admissions Mike Pelly. Chapman had considerable success over the past 4 seasons including three SLC Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2011, 2 MCLA Championship appearances in 2008 and 2009, an MCLA Final Four appearance in 2010, and an MCLA Quarterfinals appearance in 2011.
